How to clear cache and cookie data on browsers

Sometimes, you may want to clear a browser's cache and cookies to protect your account (especially if you are using a shared computer). It can also resolve slow load times experienced when accessing Report or Insights on your Beanstack site.

Google Chrome

Clearing cached site data on Google Chrome’s settings

  1. Select the three-dot icon near the top-right of the window.
  2. Go to “Settings” > “Privacy and Security.”
  3. Select “Delete Browsing Data.”
  4. Choose your time range with the dropdown menu.
  5. Check the boxes to include cookies, cached images, and other site data.
  6. Select “Delete Data.”

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Select the hamburger menu near the top-right of the window.
  2. Go to “Settings” > “Privacy & Security.”
  3. Scroll down to “Cookies and Site Data.”
  4. Select “Clear Data” to bring up a menu.
  5. Choose the time range and types of data to delete, such as cookies and cached files.
  6. Select “Clear.”

  3. Scroll down to “Delete browsing data.”
  4. Select “Choose what to clear” to bring up a menu.
  5. Choose the time range and types of data to delete (cookies, cached images, passwords, etc.)
  6. Select “Clear now.”

Clearing cached site data on Safari’s settingsNote: These steps apply only to macOS (Apple).

  1. Select “Safari” from the top menu bar.
  2. Go to “Settings” > “Privacy.”
  3. Select “Manage Website Data.”
  4. Highlight one or more websites.
  5. Select “Remove” to clear data for the highlighted websites.
  6. Click “Done.”
