How to delete a reader

If you have a Library Staff role or above, you may delete readers within your Beanstack site.

Note: If you delete a reader, it is an irreversible action and will delete all data for the reader. This information cannot be recovered once deleted.

Following the process of deleting a reader in the library admin view

Follow the instructions below to delete a reader:

  1. Log in to the admin view of your library site.
  2. Navigate to People > Find a Person.
  3. Enter search information to find the reader and click their name in the “Reader” column to view their profile page.    
  4. At the top right corner of the page, click the “Actions” dropdown and then select “Delete Reader.”
  5. Confirm you understand the consequences of deletion by checking both boxes and clicking “Permanently Delete This Profile.”

Again, this action is irreversible and the reader’s data cannot be recovered after deletion.
