How to edit, add, and toggle between readers in the app
Note: Adding multiple readers is only available for library accounts, not school accounts. In the mobile app, student accounts must be added individually—ideally using the username and password option. You can follow the steps in this article to do so!
After initially creating your Beanstack account, you can always add additional readers and switch between the readers on your account in the app by following the steps below:
- Tap the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner of your screen
- Select “Readers.”
- To add a reader to your account:
- Tap “Add A Reader” and fill in all the required reader information fields, which vary by organization.
- Select a challenge or multiple challenges to enroll in and then tap “Continue.”
- Either select “Add Another Reader” and repeat the previous two steps, or select “I’m done adding readers” to be taken to the newly added reader’s home page.
- To edit an existing reader:
- Tap any field or selection that you’d like to change and type or select the new information. Keep in mind that age will automatically update every six months after account creation, but grade and other selections do not.
- Tap “Save” when done.
- To toggle between readers on your account:
- Tap your profile picture or initials in the upper righthand corner of your screen.
- Select a different reader by tapping the circle to that reader’s right.
