If I publish a reading challenge before its start date, will readers be able to start the challenge?

If a reading challenge allows for pre-registration, then eligible reader will be able to enroll in the challenge before the start date, and earn a registration badge (along with any associated prize). However, no other badges can be earned until the challenge officially begins.
